2ndInf.Div. Posted June 17, 2012 Share #1 Posted June 17, 2012 I didn't know where exactly to post this, so mods if this is the wrong section please move it. I'll let the video tell the story, but needless to say it's very touching. http://www.godvine.com/WWII-Widow-Finally-...sband-1629.html

ajbUSWM Posted June 18, 2012 Share #6 Posted June 18, 2012 Every child in America should be required to watch this video and the movie Chosin. Then they will understand what a great country we have and that our servicemen and women are all that stands between liberty and socialism/facisim/Maxism. Thanks for sharing. p.s. The attack on Mac Thornberry was a bit over the top... he was newly elected in 1995 when she wrote him... and CBS did not attack the other 12+ congressmen she wrote since 1945 who gave her the EXACT same Army response.. Nor did CBS attack the the real source of the problem, US Army record keeping failures. According to CBS, the #1 person to blame for 60 years of bad feedback and misinformation is the newly elected guy who did nothing more or less than anyone else. By the way, the widow wrote Thornberry's predecessor Bill Sarpalius for six years with the same MIA response and CBS didn't mention his name once. I know why. Come on... fair and balanced please. I hate when media bias hurts an important story.

2ndInf.Div. Posted June 19, 2012 Author Share #9 Posted June 19, 2012 Originally when I saw the video still had around 3 minutes left I thought "what more could there be?". Then I saw the part about the French village and that really hit home. It's rather hard to find the words to describe this apart from what you all have already said.
