I recently found this patch from the US Coast Guard Air Detachment at Argentia Newfoundland International Ice Patrol and I'm curious as to it's vintage. It came with a grouping for a WWII USAAF P-47 pilot but his son was in during Vietnam so possibly he picked it up. I love the design and the color of it.

Looks like 60's era type to me , try Googling the USCG base and then those titles on the patch , that should get you something about it .

The Coast Guard was tasked with tracking and reporting large icebergs after the Titanic sinking. The patrols are still done by USCG C-130s fron CGAS Elizabeth City, NC. Agentia NFLD is were the avdets stage from.
