Every year, during "D-Day week" the lanes and roads of Normandy are full of mini-convoys of Olive Drab vehicles as the military vehicle enthusiasts descend upon the area. Sometimes, it seems like there's a Jeep or a "Deuce and a half" around every corner! Focal points are the square at Ste Mere Eglise, where people come to see and be seen, plus the beach camp-sites and their adjacent areas. Sometimes, driving through le bocage behind a Jeep full of GIs, is like a kind of time machine which transports you back to June '44! I hope the following pics will give you some idea of how it was there in June 2012! Firstly, some views around the square at Ste Mere. The pics will speak for themselves.
