Some beautiful and collectible helmets over there. Displayed properly and pays perfect tribute to the men who gave the ultimate sacrifice wearing them.

Right next to Gavin's helmet is this letter that gives the answer.........M-1 aficionados probably get too misty eyed upon encountering a special example and don't pay that much attention to its surroundings, 😄

Here is a 29th ID example that I snapped some pics of on my last trip to Normandy…….this one is at the Museé Omaha….

This one is in St. Lô, among the exhibits in the la Madeline Chapel just outside of town….

Thank you, yes, then it would be a VII Corps Patch Type Crest applied there, wonder if it is on both sides of helmet.
