Longhorn92 Posted June 5, 2012 Share #5 Posted June 5, 2012 Looking forward to it. The eBay auction is tempting; on the one hand, if you wait just a few weeks you can get it at the regular price; on the other hand, if you love the history and are into books, getting a signed #1 on a limited run title is pretty cool. Plus, I'm just generally impatient and the cash would go to a great organization. I think I'm going to bid!

Longhorn92 Posted June 7, 2012 Share #10 Posted June 7, 2012 This'll be the fourth overall. The first two were under the series title "SOG: Team History and Insignia of a Clandestine Army" and were done in conjunction with Michael Tucker (a forum member). The most recent two--including this new release--have a series title of "MACV SOG: Team History of a Clandestine Army." I asked JH about it and he said this is basically just a new series he's doing. alconlon Posted June 7, 2012 Share #11 Posted June 7, 2012 Longhorn Thank You. Are they seperate or connected? I just bought the first volume,do I need to buy all four or are they overlapping in their coverage. Thanks,Al
alconlon Posted June 7, 2012 Share #12 Posted June 7, 2012 Longhorn The reason I ask is because my budget has about $400.00 a year for books and these books take a large chunk out of that. Thanks Al
Longhorn92 Posted June 7, 2012 Share #13 Posted June 7, 2012 Well, I suppose they are connected in that they are all about SOG; but with the exception of basic introductory info, the coverage doesn't overlap on these four. Each book covers several different teams. If you are into SOG buy all of them. They are worth a quarter (or more) of your annual budget!
