Hi everyone, I have a question about biscuit tins of WWI era. Were they round or were they rectangle or both? I would like to see some examples if you have any.

I picked up a biscuit tin this morning at the flea market but I am hesitant to put a picture up because I am not sure if its military or just for home use.

Mine is stamped across the top, National Biscuit Company. The more I look at it I believe it is for home use.

That sounds military, put a picture up. It should be about 2 1/4" square by about 12" long or so.

Ok Guys, Here you go. I am really not sure if its military or for home use but it was cheap. Seems like I have seen one of these in a display somewhere but I cannot remember where.... By the way the dimms are 7 1/8 L x 2 3/4 W x 7/8 H.

Well, I've never seen one like that, so I would be inclined to say civilian. Maybe Kration might chime in, he is the resident expert on this kind of stuff.
