He served as an army surgeon on the Mexican border with the Californian NG. He later served in WWI in Europe. I did a lot of painting of textures for planes in MS Flightsimulator a few years ago. One of the planes i did for the game was the C-47 "Turf and Sport Special". Now a few days ago, this certificate was in the mail sent by the Air Mobility Command museum. It has a real part of the plane attached to it. I was very humbled by this gesture.
