Rattle Posted January 9, 2007 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2007 After seeing great collections, i decided to show off my small display. I don't have much space nor my own room, so this is the part of my collection that my wife agrees on to display in our living room. . It is constantly subject to change. So this is the state 5 minutes ago.Regards,Stephan EDIT: Pictures are lost. Kept thread for other pictures farther down in the thread.

kklinejr Posted January 10, 2007 Share #14 Posted January 10, 2007 Having the militaria out in the open as part of your household decor is incredible! Also, and I'm sure I'm not alone, I thank you for posting the two MOHs. Always nice to see some closeups of these incredible pieces. Ken
Rattle Posted January 11, 2007 Author Share #15 Posted January 11, 2007 Thanks Ken, It's quite an unusual household decor and quite a few people are astonished when they visit our home for the first time . But i would like to have a room for the collection itself or a building. Regards, Stephan
duarte1223 Posted January 11, 2007 Share #16 Posted January 11, 2007 I have a question. How heavy are those MoH's? I've always been curious. Adam
Brian Dentino Posted January 13, 2007 Share #17 Posted January 13, 2007 Very, very nice to say the least. I just wonder how you came to own TWO MoH! Nice AB display too, BTW. Love to see, and drool, over what others have in their "war rooms". Brian
Rattle Posted January 13, 2007 Author Share #18 Posted January 13, 2007 I have a question. How heavy are those MoH's? I've always been curious. Adam Adam, in my opinion it is no different to other medals the same size. The Purple Heart is heavier than the MoH. Very, very nice to say the least. I just wonder how you came to own TWO MoH! Nice AB display too, BTW. Love to see, and drool, over what others have in their "war rooms". Brian Thanks Brian, Well, if i would start collecting now, i wouldn't have them bought. But I got them in my earlier days when i wanted just a MoH for my collection to have the top award in it. Now i've shifted my interest to researchable pieces, where the man behind the item is the important factor, not the piece itself. But i have them now and i have to say these medals still look good. Oh and these are free to sell and buy here in Germany. You can see them frequently on shows. Regards, Stephan
4STARCHRIS Posted January 15, 2007 Share #19 Posted January 15, 2007 Fantastic collection. I also love the 2 MOH's. I love the fact Germany can buy our MOH, and the USA can't. I have a friend who has 23 MOH's on display in his place. YES, that is 23 MOH's. All named with complete uniforms and decorations. The place is called Michigan's Own. 517th Posted February 20, 2007 Share #22 Posted February 20, 2007 Really nice display, l like the way you have displayed the items in the cabinet. Thats where my stuff used to be in our house until the wife "suggested" I maybe try & have them in my own purpose made room, so keep her sweet.. 517th.....

Rattle Posted February 20, 2007 Author Share #24 Posted February 20, 2007 Really nice display, l like the way you have displayed the items in the cabinet. Thats where my stuff used to be in our house until the wife "suggested" I maybe try & have them in my own purpose made room, so keep her sweet..517th..... Thanks for the praise. I'd love to have my own room, but since i live in an apartment and my wife needs the extra room as an office, i have to hide most of my collection in the closet and elswhere. But i'm nevertheless happy with the display in my living room Regards, Stephan
Rattle Posted July 9, 2007 Author Share #25 Posted July 9, 2007 Hi, I've decided to show all of my collection here now. Most of the things you will see, are already shown in other sections, so there will be no description, just for your viewing pleasure. And it is also easier to see all the things i own in one place. This topic will grow over a period of time when new things are added. This is the latest view at my space.
