manayunkman Posted May 23, 2012 Share #1 Posted May 23, 2012 Keep an eye on the for sale section if you are interested in this group No interesting story behind the acquisition of this group. Came from a hotel buy I did back in the mid 90's. Thomas M. Humphrey served on the Mexican boarder with Co. C of the 106th regiment and then served in Europe. There are 3 bars on his Victory medal. His dog tag is marked 23 D NY INF. which is part of the 106th. Son James E. Humphrey was a Corporal in 1920 in the 14th NY Regiment. He later went on to serve in the 23rd of the 106th Regiment just like his dad. Before the beginning of WW2 he was an artillery officer in the 80th Infantry Division 315th Art. and went to Europe with them in 1944. He was wounded in action September 21, 1944. If anyone has anything to ad please do.
