BOLO Posted January 11, 2008 Share #1 Posted January 11, 2008 when did the company Schlueter stop producing M1 helmet shells? did they make any more after 1945? did they get any more contracts to make more helmets for the Korean war or Vietnam war? peter Posted January 11, 2008 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2008 Schlueter didn't manufacture any M1 helmetshells after world war two, as far as I know.

BOLO Posted January 12, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted January 12, 2008 here is what I was told by another collector: Well, I believe that they only operated for a brief time during WWII (as a subcontractor for McCord). They did not have an independent contract beyond August 1945. When compared to the total amount of helmets made during the War (22 million), they were fewer made by Schlueter.... but they still made a few million. Schlueter shells were all manufactured by Aug 1945 thanks!
