60 would be fine for a large K-pot.

+1 on that.

I wore a size 7 5/8 barracks cover and a size L helmet. A quick google search shows that a 7 5/8 is about a 61.

Was it comfortable enough?

Was it comfortable enough?

Sure, given the weight, etc. Good enough to wear for a few hours at a stretch with no problem.

I didn't need a shoehorn to fit it on my head!

Cool, I'll start searching for a Large Kevlar helmet, thanks.

Wardog militaria has Kevlar helmets listed check them out. Nevermind they only ship to US addresses.

Mack

I Thought so, about a year earlier I was looking into ordering stuff online from an american surplus store, and it did say kevlar items can only be shipped inside the US... don't know exactly why.

Anyway, I found kevlar helmets at a decent (sorta) price in a spanish store, but I'd have to double-check if it's legit, maybe you guys could help me, here it is...

It is missing the leather headband and is date 2001.

Is there a lot of difference between a 2000s PASGT and a 1990s PASGT?

not in shape, only the chin strap.

the 2000 models have a nylon like strap and the old style type is more of a cotton/web like type.

but i think youre good with the 2000 style if are not a geek like me that have to have it just right :P

Oh, great, thanks! I don't really mind the chin strap, besides I can always change it.

If you are a militaria collector, there is!

More than a collector, I'm a reenacter, so if it "does the job" without people noticing, it's enough :D

Correct. The color is different, as well as the leather headband which is wider and attached with Velcro.

Cool, I'm currently looking for the desert parka but it's hard to find in Europe. Another user was selling one in the forum, so I posted on his sell page but he didn't respond :/

Besides he's probably american and shipping is way to expensive.

Anyway, nice looking loadouts!

Daniel.

Here's my blouse, size medium-regular. It was issued to someone else before me, hence the need to alter the laundry marking.

Here's a close up of the laundry marking and tag. The blouse has a 1984 manufacturing date.

Here's a close up of the club patch.

Here's the trousers. Size small-regular. While I can still fit in my blouse, I can't fit in the trousers anymore. Normally we cut out the blousing tapes from the ankle cuffs. These have a 1990 manufacturer's date.

Lookin' good.

Gee, wish I could find a small Regular here in Europe, all I have is a Medium Regular (Wink, Wink xD).

Here's an interior and exterior shot of the kevlar helmet cover. Note the Eagle, Globe and Anchor stencil. I believe the manufacturer's date on this was 1984 as well.
