Agreed.

Im thinking it was made in Wisconsin.

 

Would be nice if there was a data base of all the manufacturers and the cities where they were located during the war.

 

Something Ive noticed on some of the repro gear is the font of the number 4 is open at the top and usually the ones on WW2 are closed.The fakers dont always us the same font as WW2

In the 1930s, there was a St. Croix Garment Company located in Stillwater, Minnesota. If you google the company's name, you will see that they received several patents and there are a few more examples of field gear that they manufactured during the war.
