Bagman Posted February 8, 2008 Share #3 Posted February 8, 2008 Brian-- Sorry for the delay in responding to your question. Just read the post tonight. According to the late and very much respected aviation historian Roger Freeman in his book The Mighty Eighth WAR MANUAL, 1991, Model N-6A Gunsights were used on B-17G chin & tail turrets, B-24H & J nose, top, and tail turrets. Hope this helps. "Bagman"
Brian Keith Posted February 8, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted February 8, 2008 Bagman, Thanks for the info and the source. I really appriciate it. These artifacts are so much more interesting knowing their use. It's like finding a uniform in a thrift store, interesting but without a Vet ID not as exciting. I'll keep an eye out for that book.
