SeanR Posted May 21, 2023 Share #278 Posted May 21, 2023 Think he may be aiming it at the collector that has a dozen first pattern and would be tempting at selling a few with him so they can add that to the collection. For me, it would have needed to be owned by Paddy Payne or Montgomery to fetch that price. Who knows though, lots of wealthy collectors about that may be tempted by one with provenance, which i think is a lot of the value here.

SeanR Posted May 26, 2023 Share #280 Posted May 26, 2023 I don't, but this dealer has a few. https://www.jcmilitaria.com/search_stock.asp?start=0&offset=8 Cant see any reason why he would not ship to the US Not cheap, but nothing is these days, especially FS
J.Q.M.D. Posted September 30, 2023 Share #281 Posted September 30, 2023 I wanted to share a nice wood handled FS knife I picked up in a grouping yesterday. This knife was carried by Sgt. Roy L. Randolph, who was a combat photographer with the 8th Army Air Force. He wrote his name on the back of the sheath. The family also has his A2 Flight Jacket, but they want to hang onto it. What are these wood handled FS knives bringing now? Either way, I thought you all would be interested in seeing this little grouping!

Hombre Posted March 24 Share #284 Posted March 24 My first but hopefully not last Fairbairn-Sykes dagger... This is what they say about it... Nice mid war 3rd, with the heavier blade, correct scabbard stamped England to match knife, nice MOS stamp of /i\ 21, Pommel nut looks in good order too. 'England' stamp showing its one of those knifes exported from MOD stores to the USA for commercial sale. Well, I am happy about it!😀 Best, Stefan Sweden
