AAF_Collection Posted April 17, 2012 Share #1 Posted April 17, 2012 This just arrived today. I saw it on ebay several weeks ago but was outbid, then a couple of weeks later the seller contacted me and said the winner had returned it as it didn't keep good time it was relisted and this time I won it! although some may think it's of less interest not being an issue item I'm pleased to add it to my collection and look forward to doing more research into the original owner. AAF_Collection Posted April 17, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted April 17, 2012 Thanks Glenn!. I like the style of it,the case is pure Art Deco!. Initial reasearch shows T.E.A. to be T/Sgt.Thomas E.Ahern of Hartford,CT who was with the 368th Fighter Group,9th Air Force. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 81. I hope to find out more about his role in the 368th. Matt.

Lucky 7th Armored Posted April 17, 2012 Share #5 Posted April 17, 2012 I love it! With an item like this is it still not okay to clean her up a bit? Haydn
AAF_Collection Posted April 17, 2012 Author Share #6 Posted April 17, 2012 Thanks for your comment! I think a gentle clean can only improve it. I have been looking at a Bulova collectors website and the watch dates from 1937 but I haven't identified the exact model yet. Matt.
