Spotted a circular USAAF gasoline canister dated 1943 at Grandcamp Maisy show, kept my money in my pocket and later wished I had grabbed it, saw the same dealer two days later, he smiled when I asked if he still had it . . . . . . . . . someone else had bought it at the Grandcamp show. Hi Mikie, I don't wear it under normal Jeeping circumstances, here's my usual attire, repro cap and original 1940 German goggles. The repro A-2 is the larger of two I have for occasions when I have over-eaten, the other one is smaller for famine periods. June is a period of feasting with so many friends dropping past. . Speaking of overeating, my friend William came over to watch the Golden State Warriors basketball Finals game last night (it was close, but the Warriors won! Series is tied). However as we were mentioning gardening next time I am over in the Perrier region I need to visit an entire forest planted by Germany during their occupation, I believe the trees are the same as examples to be found in the Black Forest in Germany. This is the damaged Jeep after being hit by another car, the driver of which was driving whilst over the alcohol limit and talking on a cell-phone, the driver left the scene but was apprehended by police afterwards . . . . . . Johan Willaert Posted June 12, 2022 Share #21023 Posted June 12, 2022 The Jeep is a Willys MB and belongs to the 2nd Armored Division, markings are 2/\-66/\ MT-29 (29th Vehicle, Maintenance Company, 66th Armored Regt, 2nd Armored Division (aka Hell on Wheels). I can easily see that they could be quite a valuable addition. When I lived in snow country in Upstate New York, there was occasionally some poor snowmobilier getting his head cut off by a half buried barbed wire fence. German forests can bring some surprises....this surprise (there were more examples) was dicovered at Zernikow in East-Germany (after the unification).
