Skies were filled with all kinds of aircraft all week..

The French Air Force display team (Patrouille de France) made a couple of appearances... picture below was taken as they passed low over Bayeux's main street on Sunday...

Marine 1, Ospreys and Black Hawks were hovering overhead as we rode over 20 miles along the coastline...

Omaha Beach, 6th June... POTUS held a speech on the American cemetery while these were circling the skies.... Ospreys and Marine 1 versions...

It later took part in the Isigny Liberation Parade...

From big to small... An M3A4 Hand Cart on display in the newly opened extension of the Dead Man's Corner museum... An absolute MUST-SEE!!!!!

A Belgian collector driving on the beach at Arromanches was caught in the tide and didn't get out in time.... The vehicle was just about fully submerged in the water and was only recovered from the surf during the next low tide... Engine ran again the next day, but one cannot imagine the damage the salt water will have done to all components...

Despite the rain, thousands of people attended the huge fireworks displays held all over the Normandy coast on Sunday 9th June...

We watched the one in Ste Mere Eglises's main square... Always impressive...

A better view of the two mannequins representing British Commandoes from 30th Assault Unit (30 Commando) which landed on Utah Beach on D+4...

On Saturday there was a vehicle static show around the dock of Grandcamp-Maisy where around 350 vehicles big and small gathered for the liberation parade towards Isigny some 10 miles away...

 

Column including around 10 Sherman tanks arrived in Isigny at nightfall...

 

Below one of the Tanks and an M26 Pacific Dragon Wagon filling the streets...
