docbutzen Posted April 2, 2012 Share #1 Posted April 2, 2012 I think it's late 50's but not sure what exact uniform it is. It is a HBT material. Thank you for your help! Doc Butzen
patches Posted April 3, 2012 Share #2 Posted April 3, 2012 Its a M43 jacket used in the post 1953 period, by virtue of the Gold On black rayon woven U.S.ARMY tape and the OD on Blue M/SGT ranks, it lacks a Name tape, looks like one was never sewn on, this will be odd, perhaps this was one of those shirts we can see from the early period late 1953-54 period that had a Leather Fob/Hanger name tag used in lieu of the sewn cloth name tape. Doc Butzen very nice low price, these shirts are good, they are simple, but they do have a certain charm, and yours is in very good condition, but remember, one day in the past everybody said the WW wool coats are are dime, nay a nickle a dozen, and then they are no more, oh sure they can still be found here and there, but they can be real expensive, how about the earlier stuff right, before the WW.
