Brig Posted December 29, 2007 Share #1 Posted December 29, 2007 Picked this up on eBay for about 3 bucks Buy It Now. Judging by the EGA and overall theme, I think it fits the WWII motiff. What do you guys think?
Brian Keith Posted December 29, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 29, 2007 Looks WW II era to me! USMC are harder to find! Nice. BKW
teufelhunde.ret Posted December 29, 2007 Share #3 Posted December 29, 2007 Would agree, are these going to be a new collecting interest for you? Tried out the steam iron on the last one yet?
Brig Posted December 29, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted December 29, 2007 haven't tried the steam out the creases yet, haven't gotten a frame. new collecting interest? not at all, however can't pass up a three dollar deal. I actually think they take up more room than they're worth but nothing wrong with a few in the USMC Homefront setup
Bugme Posted January 2, 2008 Share #5 Posted January 2, 2008 Yours fits the WWII look to me. I've got a few of these from WWII and Korean time frame. I too picked them up because of the price but, they are also kind of neat. I actually picked up a few cheap pillows at Wal-Mart and put the covers on them. Because they're made of silk or similar type of material, they look nice on a rocking chair or small sofa. These are also unique conversation pieces. Of course, I'm not going out and buying more of them but, that are nice representative pieces from the home-front.
