37thguy Posted February 29, 2012 Share #9 Posted February 29, 2012 Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio had them given out at some point in their history. There was one just up for auction on Ebay a few weeks back. Also I own one that was a Reunion piece for the 37th Division back in the 30s. I'll try and find the pics tonight. Bugme Posted February 29, 2012 Share #11 Posted February 29, 2012 As mentioned, these were given out at VFW get togethers, appreciation gatherings in counties throughout America and even sold as novelties in stores after the Great War. Some have speculated in the past that these were for children but, if you ever held one in hand you'd see that they are more fitting for a Chihuahua. I also saw one these for sale at the SOS this year.

Dave G Posted March 1, 2012 Share #14 Posted March 1, 2012 I have several examples, a few are made as banks with a slot in the top for coins. You can also find metal campaign hats from time to time. Dave
