KevinBeyer Posted February 25, 2012 Share #1 Posted February 25, 2012 AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY Mission Statement "In the spirit of service, not self, the mission of the American Legion Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and Country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security." Below is an example of an American Legion Auxiliary Past President badge. It denotes two consecutive years of service (1938-1939, 1939-1940) for its recipient having only the machine engraved initials "H.N.R" on the reverse. I have seen these types of examples bearing date bars and would be interested to see if anyone else out there has an example with them.
