Went to an interesting estate sale today: the guy was a former Naval officer and artist and I suspect he might have used these when making portraits. Two of these officers became generals. One flew bombers in WWI and received the Navy Cross.

There are two photos of Raymond E. Hopper who commanded MAG-21 at Guadalcanal from March to May 1943 and received the Legion of Merit in WWII.

There is one photo of William C. Lemly who retired as a Brigadier General. He was part of the Nicaragua Expedition of 1927, and piloted DH-4's in the VO-1 squadron.

The third person is Karl S Day who became the first Marine Reserve officer to be appointed Lt. General.

The photos are each about 4 x 5 inches.
