I have several summer and winter uniforms, but since if you've seen one,

then you've seen them all... I shall be posting pictures of three of them.

Two are issued, the third was a private purchase. Although not an officer,

the NCO purchased her own uniform (if you could feel the difference then

you'd know why.) In no particular order...

Woman's (USMC/WR) M41 Field Jacket.

N.B. The buttons are on the opposite side for a man's M41 Field Jacket.

Nice collection of USMCWR uniforms. My mother was a "BAM" 1943-1945 but didn't keep any of her uniforms. She liked the greens but hated the khaki shirts that were the regulation wear with the green wool blouse. So she had a photo taken in a white shirt which was only supposed to be worn by officers. She's right....it does look nicer.

Here's a pic of my mother in her regulation winter service uniform.

I found this original 1943 dated USMCWR recruiting poster on the website of a military book dealer, bought it, and had it framed. It was on the wall of my mother's home for several years. She used to talk about this poster and how it inspired her to enlist in 1943. Now that she's gone it's one of my prized possessions.
