Gary Cain Posted January 22, 2012 Share #1 Posted January 22, 2012 I paid way too much for this sword but when I saw the maker I couldn't resist. I have never seen another carrying their name. Has anybody else seen one? "YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH RED WINE, TOO MANY BOOKS, OR TOO MUCH AMMUNITION." Rudyard Kipling
Gary Cain Posted January 22, 2012 Author Share #2 Posted January 22, 2012 Now for the interesting bit! I paid way too much for this sword but when I saw the maker I couldn't resist. I have never seen another carrying their name. Has anybody else seen one? "YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH RED WINE, TOO MANY BOOKS, OR TOO MUCH AMMUNITION." SARGE Posted January 22, 2012 Share #3 Posted January 22, 2012 Gary, Bannerman markings will be found on various US swords. I have seen a few Bannerman marked M1902 Officer Sabers so yours is a nice variation to have from a very famous retailer. Does it say made in the USA or Germany on the blade?
