I paid way too much for this sword but when I saw the maker I couldn't resist. I have never seen another carrying their name. Has anybody else seen one?

Gary,

 

Bannerman markings will be found on various US swords. I have seen a few Bannerman marked M1902 Officer Sabers so yours is a nice variation to have from a very famous retailer. Does it say made in the USA or Germany on the blade?
