Alex very kindly sent me some pictures of his Father along with scans of his Fathers service record. Alex had kindly allowed me to post the following items to bring the story up to date. It's very nice to finally piece everything together. Lt Col Grant was Regular Army and attended the Valley Forge Military Acadamy and upon commissioning served in a Tank Destroyer unit before assuming command of the 320th Ord Bn, he then saw service in Europe from Normandy to the end of the war. king802 Posted December 21, 2014 Author Share #31 Posted December 21, 2014 And finally Lt Col Grants brother served in England with the 8th Airforce. 390th Bomb Group. 390th were stationed in Suffolk - not that far at all from where I live.
