US Navy Diving Officer Patch

This is a Navy Diving Officer qualification badge for wear on a fatique shirt. I found it in a mixed lot of used and unused cloth insignia, and it's the first one I have ever seen. It appears to have been removed from a uniform. The embroidery looks different, but I don't know much about patches. Is this US made or asian made?

The way the black thread is oxydising and just the general "Look" of the patch, I would say it was made in Subic (Olongopo City, Phillipenes). It just looks like the stuff we would get made up there.

Thanks for the information. I would think this is a very scarce patch, there were not that many Diving Officers. You don't see many authentic diver qualification badges, anyway, other than the modern stock on ebay.
