A question for our helmet guys!

The guys from the 32nd Division are wearing Commando/Sniper veil nets.

I think the fact we do not see these again may be in part to the very lightweight construction of the net. Anyone who has one of these will vouch for how weak they are. In a jungle environment I can’t see them lasting very long.

Didn't know where to post this, so lets post it here, an example of Burlap Covers worn past 1963 in the Reserve Components, They didn't have the new leaf covers issued, and any photos of them within a reserve component on helmets in this period of the 60s- early 70s unit would be rare.

Here 1965, Reservists of an unknown Middle Atlantic or Virginia/West Virginia or Maryland unit at their drill at Camp Pickett Virginia wearing the burlap (Those leaves etc are just branches in the way of the camera by the way, and are not applied though the covers) Note too, that the Bazooka Man, a rather Obsolent weapon itself in 65,at least in the Army, is still wearing the M45 Web gear, that was common too, though as the 60s wore on the new M56 stuff sees more and more issuance, and the Walkie Talkie we see in use still as well.

Found this one of another one of those wide mesh string nets in Korea says 7th Infantry 3rd Infantry Division sometime in 1951, summer or early fall.

It's nice to see these nets in use. Are there any photos, or documentation, of them actually being used, or designed as,sniper veils?
