Manchu Warrior Posted December 17, 2011 #1 Posted December 17, 2011 I could not pass up on this patch today. The patch is 4-3/4" across and the person I got it from claimed it was a WWII patch. I thought it looked more like a Korean War era patch. And from what I have found out so far I believe I am right. I also found a nice web site that had information on all the FASRON Squadrons. However, when I tried to open the link for the history of the FASRON ONE I could not access them. I would like to know the history of the patch and when it dates from and I paid $25.00 for it, and I am hoping that was a good deal. Thanks
Johnny Signor Posted December 18, 2011 #2 Posted December 18, 2011 I have a color scan on a disc sent to me by a "Tailhook" assoc member out of Calif that shows your patch, it likes very close , I would veture it to be late WW-2 era . Johnny

Anyone else have info on the squadron and any other thoughts on the patch?
matterhorn Posted December 19, 2011 #4 Posted December 19, 2011 I would say the patch is from the time period immediately post World War 2. In World War 2, most of these units were named CASU and most did not have the unit identification on the patch. FASRON main mission was maintenance and headquarters for air groups.
