Sabrejet Posted December 16, 2011 Share #2 Posted December 16, 2011 Unofficial USAC/USAAF PFC stripes. Such stripes with the winged-prop motif were worn during WW2. "Unofficial", but apparently tolerated. I have an AAF four pocket coat with similar Sgt's stripes.
kyhistorian01 Posted December 16, 2011 Share #3 Posted December 16, 2011 Unofficial Air Corp, US Army Air Forces stripes. The were used as far back as the mid 1930s and I have photos dated 1938 of khaki versions being worn by members of the Ohio National Guards Air Observation Squadron. I also have a Ike jacket for the 8th Air Force with Sgt stripes on it. Robert
D.A.T. Posted December 18, 2011 Share #4 Posted December 18, 2011 I have the same ones in khaki.
