Blackhat Posted January 28, 2022 Share #284 Posted January 28, 2022 After rejoining the Forum, I have learned sadly of the loss of many members who had made supportive contributions, and encouraged many new collectors. Saber jet was one of those members who actively took interest in not only my posts but so many others. Does anyone know why? The 3 S's of camouflage: Shape, Shine and Sound. Scrim breaks up the shape of the helmet, making it less discerning to the human eye and also reduces the shine of the helmet paint.

There is a really great book by Larry Gwin who was Sugdnis’s XO. It is called “Baptism” and the book covers this event as well as many others like, LZ Albany, in great detail . patches Posted April 19, 2022 Share #296 Posted April 19, 2022 Three photos of the 1st Battle Group 29th Infantry Infantry School around 1958 wearing Burlap. They are equipped with the new M14 Rifle (the first type with all wood top fore stock T44) and M60 Machine Gun, and the M79 Grenade Launcher, but are still using the old M1910 Web gear with the old M1945 Suspenders and Packs rather then the new m1956 Web Gear. The one photo of the Recoilless Rifle is mounted on the M56 Chassis.
