smwinter207 Posted December 8, 2011 Share #1 Posted December 8, 2011 Hello, I acquired a grouping to a WWII soldier in the 349th IR who received Ranger training. On his paperwork he has written "349th Infantry Regiment, Ranger Bn". What kind of training would this have been? Would they receive training from actual Rangers? I also found this guy who was in the American Ranger group and was KIA in Italy. My guy must have served with John. Thanks, Sean http://www.dvrbs.com/ccwd-ww2/camdenww2-JohnEShuler.htm
smwinter207 Posted December 9, 2011 Author Share #2 Posted December 9, 2011 Here is an article discussing the Ranger training for the 349th before the assault on Italy. Maybe this helps? Sean
