The date on the inside is 1943 and the pin is marked Amico sterling on the eagle. The anchors which are starting to flake off is marked 10k which I assume is 10k gold plate. The pin looks like it has been on the helmet for a very long time and thatat is why I took a picture with the pin off of the helmet.
