What is it ...?? Vietnam Ammo Belt Dated 7-62 ??

Dear Members, this was bought with a few ARVN packs last week.

 

Can anyone ID this for me ??? What country..?? North Vietnam.?

 

Also, did the US issue these.?? as its Dated 7-62 on inside.

"7.62" is the caliber, not year. It's a Chinese chest pouch for SKS stripper clips. Vietnam-era? Dunno. The style is right, but the same style was used for many years, even until a a decade (or two?) ago. I do know that up until the Clinton administration halted the importation of Chinese surplus ammuniton these chest pouches were literally everywhere.
