Roy D. Brooks from St. Louis a member of the 377th Air Police Sqaudron 7th AF at Tan Son Nhut during a VC motar and small arms attack on Dec. 4, year unknown. See newspaper article. Jon . Dogfacesoldier According to the USAF's "Air Base Defense in the Republic of Vietnam 1961-73", Tan Sa Nhut Airbase (Saigon) was attacked at 0110 hours on December 4, 1966 by a combined mortar and enemy sapper attack. It received a total of 33 rounds of mortar fire that damaged 20 aircraft, killed 3 Americans and wounded 15 Americans. 3 Republic of Vietnam personnel were killed and 4 wounded.
