Jack's Son Posted October 31, 2011 Share #1 Posted October 31, 2011 This is the Story of Mary A. Livermore, a Nurse during the Civil War. This is an in-depth view of nursing over a four year period. It is beautifully illustrated with pictures and etchings, along with maps to guild the readers passage. At 700 Pages, it's not a weekend read, but still a treat to own. Sabrejet Posted October 31, 2011 Share #5 Posted October 31, 2011 That's an impressive looking volume JS. Can't be too many of those in circulation outside of The Library of Congress?

captaxe Posted October 31, 2011 Share #8 Posted October 31, 2011 That's an impressive looking volume JS. Can't be too many of those in circulation outside of The Library of Congress? Great book but it actually (as far as Civil War books go) is not very rare. You did good in that it is a first edition (out of a total of five) that were printed, and it looks to be in fine shape.
