redone Posted October 23, 2011 Share #1 Posted October 23, 2011 Dose anyone know what the marking under the LMN represents. This is the second time I’ve come across this design. I do not remember where I saw it the first time. Because it was so small I thought it had no significance. Now I ‘m thinking it may indicate something specific. I’m assuming the LMN is the owner’s initials. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The Bag is a USN marked Boyt 1944 USMC style musette bag. redone Posted October 23, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted October 23, 2011 The marking is a solid black circle a little smaller than a dime with a solid quarter moon shape under it. Above are the letters L.N.M. The letters are about 2" high. Again the letters may be the owner's initials.
DocRick Posted October 27, 2011 Share #4 Posted October 27, 2011 Inside the bag, are there any small loops or straps? Do the dog ears snap down? If so, a late war corpsman's bag? Doc Rick
