I'm looking for more info about the 2675th Regt which was part of the Allied Control Commission in Italy at the end and right after WW2.

Some googling revealed that the unit was involved in local aid and civilian-military co-operations but the amount of info was rather poor....

Does anyone have more??? Especially about the regiment?

Thanks,

Johan

Johan, Here is the entry for this unit in Department of the Army Pamphlet 672-1 Unit Citation and Campaign Participation Credit Register. The campaigns are: 29 - Naples-Foggia (Ground), 31- North Apennines, 33 - Po Valley, 35 - Rome-Arno.

I am reporting to this post which is now 10 years old. If anyone is still interested I am a cop of the history of Company G which was a part of regiment 2675, Fifth Army during WW2. It could be copied and mailed.

I have tried to send an email to www.info@the liberator.be but Gmail will not send it on. I have a copy of the history of Company G under regiment 2675 but no other information about the regiment.  [email protected]

Kind of interesting topic.  I just picked up a bronze star grouping with a named bronze star medal and a New York Conspicuous Cross Medal.  Both medals are named to an HSC Piper Sergent assigned to the 2675th Regiment.  The NY Cross is named and number to Piper.  Not really clear on what the what the 2675th did during the war.
