Gordon Kirby went on to serve 3 more tours in Vietnam, he then served with 82nd Airborne during the 70s and then with Special Forces in the early 80s, he did recruiting for a short while in the 80s but then went back to Special Forces and served in Desert Storm and Somalia before retiring from service.

I am his biggest fan, for he is my father.

Bonjour Mike,

That's a great chance for you to keep safe all these souvenirs.

I'm really keen on the BRO division and it's one the unit focussing my interest in my VN collection. I wait your pictures! thumbsup.gif

Was your father assigned to 10th Mountain Div in Somalia or to the small SF elements? Did he served in Mogadiscio? I served there from 93 to 94!

Cheers

Valery

He was with the smaller SF elements I'm not sure where all he was at but I do know he was in Mogadishu and after the famous black hawk down incident about a month or so he rotated home.
