I Hate Moths Posted February 23, 2018 Author Share #53 Posted February 23, 2018 Dad must have thought he was at a motel 6 and walked off with this towel from the Santa Ana Army Air Base. Servicemen's maps of the United States I had never looked closely at these, as i was a little disgusted that some one did a little coloring on the front of one of them. After closer inspection, the art work turns out to be a layout of Dad'd travels. It is hard to see until you put the untouched one beside it. huntssurplus Posted February 23, 2018 Share #54 Posted February 23, 2018 Nice items thanks for sharing! I have liked seeing what you have added over the years to this thread really cool to see everything you have from your fathers service, lucky he kept it all, and in such good condition! If only my family members did the same, but sadly most of their stuff from their time in the service they threw away long before I got into the hobby of collecting. Navymm98 Posted February 8, 2021 Share #65 Posted February 8, 2021 Wow fantastic! My great grandfather served with the 13th. 222nd medical company. Only thing I have is his photo album. But the paratrooper photos he had in them are like the post card souvenir photos. But some nice photos from before he went airborne in 44. I'll have to make a post about it soon. BILL THE PATCH Posted February 8, 2021 Share #67 Posted February 8, 2021 Five unknown paratroopers, probably from the 13th airborne. The trooper on the far right appears to have the golden unicorn patch. Cadet nurses awaiting orders to report. My mom, Madeleine Keating, is second from the left. The hand written note at the bottom suggests that this clipping was sent to Dad The third guy from the left has a huge cap patch compared to the othersSent from my moto g(7) play using Tapatalk
