Longhorn92 Posted September 8, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 8, 2011 Here are a few pics of the small memorial to Audie Murphy. This memorial is just a hundred or so meters from the outskirts of Holtzwihr, in Alsace. It's off the beaten path on a lonely, little traveled one lane country backroad. Audie was about here and firing toward Holtzwihr, which is to the right of the memorial. Pic 1:

Longhorn92 Posted September 9, 2011 Author Share #7 Posted September 9, 2011 Great site, Jurg. I've visited several of those places in Alsace. I love that area and have been twice to retrace my grandfather's war. He was wounded in Sigolsheim on December 15th.
