Jürg Posted September 1, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2011 Well a short intermezzo from my Then and now stuff. I just added another location of the Alsace campaign to my site. Its a comparison of the Jagdpanther "323" which belonged to the 654th Schwere Panzerjaeger Abteilung (heavy tank hunter). It was knocked out on Nov. 22, 2011 by a allied tankkiller team. The whole story on my site: http://standwheretheyfought.jimdo.co...-then-and-now/ This specific Jagdpanther is today on display at the Swiss Army Tankmuseum in Thun. Jim Baker Posted September 2, 2011 Share #3 Posted September 2, 2011 These photos are amazing. The roof tiles are even the same ones still on the house.
Bazooka Joe Posted September 2, 2011 Share #4 Posted September 2, 2011 Unfortunately your link isn't working. I think this is it though? http://standwheretheyfought.jimdo.com/alsa...5-then-and-now/ Alsace is a fascinating place though, I was there on holiday a couple of years back. Plenty of interesting military history in the area from both World Wars.
