Alsace, Friesen 1944 - Then & Now - Jagdpanther 323

Well a short intermezzo from my Then and now stuff. I just added another location of the Alsace campaign to my site. Its a comparison of the Jagdpanther "323" which belonged to the 654th Schwere Panzerjaeger Abteilung (heavy tank hunter). It was knocked out on Nov. 22, 2011 by a allied tankkiller team.

This specific Jagdpanther is today on display at the Swiss Army Tankmuseum in Thun.

Alsace is a fascinating place though, I was there on holiday a couple of years back. Plenty of interesting military history in the area from both World Wars.
