Paul70 Posted August 30, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 30, 2011 I bought a WWII era Marine dress blue tunic. I can see from the holes in the lining that it had corporal stripes on it. What type of stripes were on the Marine dress blues? I am trying to locate a pair and wanted to make sure I restored it correctly. Thanks, Paul
Lee Ragan Posted August 30, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 30, 2011 They could be either cotton embroidery (yellow on red wool), or gold bullion stripes on red wool. These would be the 1940's style & size. No crossed rifles on these.
