Haven't been on the forum in a while- too busy with school. Here's a few in the back yard (no weapons on hand at the time).

I've been collecting for a while, and do on occasion don my gear. Here's some impressions I've done.

Finished Infantry Kit, April 2012. Portraying 1/22nd Infantry, 1968-1969. The only thing I really need is a Lightweight rucksack.

Some LRRP kits, I don't have facepaint on in any of these because they were just photos.

LRRP with AKM.

LRRP with tigers, these are repro Seaweaves but I have some repro JWD now. Also, I have removed the machete at the advice of a former Ranger.

Advisor Kit, based on what my Grandfather wore. This kit is much more complete now, I ought to take updated pictures of this and a few other kits.

"Back at the base" MACV Advisor impression, late 1965/early 1966. Taken today, need new boots and a Ridgeway cap.

Still working on improving a lot of these kits, I'll post updates as I go along.

Enjoy.

Okay, I guess I'll toss up afew pics from this summer.

Late war, it will be 101st Abn when it's all done. Research needs to happen first.

Getting the M-16a1 soon hopefully.

Missing the claymore bag, butt pack attached to frame and some other stuff.

Nice collection. I admire your interest in the military and preserving history! If you want to take your reenacting to the next level (for realism), wear your equipment as depicted for several consecutive days in the summer and walk continusiously with periodic breaks. I suspect you'll find your gear arrangement will need to be tightend up and possibly re arranged to keep items from flooping around and beating on you, making noise, etc.

Again, nice collection and thanks for your interest in military history!!

Best wishes for your future activities

Ken (former VN grunt platoon leader)

Ken, thanks for the advice.

I wore the gear for about and hour that day, thru the yard and up into the woods. Only thing flopping around was the canteen, which I fixed after the photos were taken. The shelterhalf and everythingelse is securely strapped to the frame on the backside.

Thanks again and thank you for your service.

Nothing special, I had afew hours free in the afternoon so I threw this together.

Normaly the flashlight is in the butt-pack and I don't always have the gas mask and claymore bags, but I threw them on for this.
