Corpl. Cleaver Posted December 31, 2012 Share #76 Posted December 31, 2012 Okay, I guess I'll toss up afew pics from this summer. Late war, it will be 101st Abn when it's all done. Research needs to happen first. Getting the M-16a1 soon hopefully. Missing the claymore bag, butt pack attached to frame and some other stuff. skautdog Posted January 10, 2013 Share #80 Posted January 10, 2013 Corpl. Cleaver Nice collection. I admire your interest in the military and preserving history! If you want to take your reenacting to the next level (for realism), wear your equipment as depicted for several consecutive days in the summer and walk continusiously with periodic breaks. I suspect you'll find your gear arrangement will need to be tightend up and possibly re arranged to keep items from flooping around and beating on you, making noise, etc. Again, nice collection and thanks for your interest in military history!! Best wishes for your future activities Ken (former VN grunt platoon leader)

Corpl. Cleaver Posted January 10, 2013 Share #82 Posted January 10, 2013 Ken, thanks for the advice. I wore the gear for about and hour that day, thru the yard and up into the woods. Only thing flopping around was the canteen, which I fixed after the photos were taken. The shelterhalf and everythingelse is securely strapped to the frame on the backside. Thanks again and thank you for your service. Tyler
RedLegGI Posted January 11, 2013 Share #83 Posted January 11, 2013 Nothing special, I had afew hours free in the afternoon so I threw this together. Normaly the flashlight is in the butt-pack and I don't always have the gas mask and claymore bags, but I threw them on for this. Tyler Dude, you look like Animal Mother in that first pic...nice
