1917enfield Posted August 20, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 20, 2011 I picked these up today @ a local Antique Store. One has a nice bullion PAST Commander patch. The other was labeled WWI Legion Hat with a medal attached. Any truth on the WWI. Also, the bullion is a cool factor just curious who else has one like it. Commets are welcomed. OD MAN Posted August 20, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 20, 2011 That veterans cap is VERY cool, especially with the bullion patch. The other cap is WWI French made out of the typical sky blue color. The medal is for the 40 and 8 society and you can read about that right here: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/ind...showtopic=56748 Justin

It is actually a US made cap, modeled after a French cap. These were apparently worn by members of the 40 and 8...which explains the medal.
