cutiger83 Posted August 13, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 13, 2011 This is a long video (40 minutes) but worth it. This was a documentary about Louis Zamperini that was shown during the closing ceremony of the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan. A recent book, "Unbroken" was written about his life. Louis ran in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. He enlisted in the Air Corps after Pearl Harbor. He was a bombardier on a B-25 that crash in the ocean. After 40+ days on the ocean, he was captured by the Japanese. This interview is basically a synopsis of the book. I HIGHLY recommend reading the book, "Unbroken". http://www.keynotespeakers.com/zamperini/video.php ...Kat
Jack's Son Posted August 13, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 13, 2011 What a powerful story. To live through what he did, and be able to forgive all of those who abused him.....Remarkable. :bravo:

I have passed it onto friends outside of the forum. I see that he is still alive at the age of 94 and active and threw the opening ball at this years Red-sox game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Zamperini thanks ken
