craig_pickrall Posted November 7, 2007 Share #3 Posted November 7, 2007 This shirt has the insignia style worn between 1951 and 1956. It has the earlier OD chevron on blue field. These chevrons were replaced with the gold on Army Green in 1956 / 57. It also has the name tape in branch colors which was an early 1950's style. craig_pickrall Posted November 7, 2007 Share #4 Posted November 7, 2007 This style insignia setup would have been used between 1956 / 57 and 1970. It is possible to find shirts setup like this still in use long after 1970 but the insignia had changed by then so a new shirt would have been setup differently. It has the 1956 / 57 chevrons wirh a cut edge. The merrowed edge version was available by 1969 and also there were subdued chevrons available before that. By 1970 the pin on rank insignia for the collar was available too. The SF patch is cut edge and would have been replaced by 1969 or so.
