patches Posted August 11, 2011 #4 Posted August 11, 2011 National chinese army lieutanant colonel collar badges, branch-commissariat, world war 2. Nationalist chinese army it should be, i put only national, sorry about that boys. This identifcation can be found in Army badges and insignia of world war 2, (book 2), by guido rosignoli, a 1975 Macmillian color series book. The marron color is the branch color of their commissariat corps. Also in armed forces of world war II, by andrew mollo, a 1981 book, here in each section dealing with campaignes it has charts of the pertainant army/navy rank insignia,it also has a very interresting appendix, showing the word for each rank in the nations native language, its in a chart form and lines up across the page and down to the bottom of the page, giving the rank equvilent for each nation. Lieutant colonel in chinese= Chung hsiao
