1stDivVet Posted August 8, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 8, 2011 Found these at the local flea market today. No idea what the age is, but the price was right!! My guess is around WW1, but I have no idea. Stripes look to be a dirty tan or gray on blue wool flannel. Any help is appreciated. Fins...
atb Posted August 8, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 8, 2011 They lool like unauthorized service uniform chevrons from after WW1 to WW2. Dress Blue chevrons would have been in branch colors (orange and white for Signal Corps). Branch insignia was not used officially from about 1920, but some soldiers continued to wbuy and wear them. Your chevron's construction and the dark blue background are typical of post-WW1 chevrons.
