Does anyone recognize this patch?

Hi all,I picked this neat patch a little while back,and have'nt found any info regarding it.

I'm thinking USA made,but don't know what era.

It is a pretty large patch,I left my hand in one of the pics to show scale.

It has the words"Ordnance"and "Iceland",and a skeleton hand holding a lit cannonball,

so I'm guessing the 8th Ordnance form Iceland!If anyone has any info,please let me know.

I have the same patch, and I was wondering the same thing. I remember a post somewhere on it, but cant remember. Sorry. I will check the threads and see if anyone has some info on it. Chuck

My memory of this unit is foggy,does the Marine 8th Ordnance Detachment sound correct?

I was thinking Navy ordanance unit stationed in Keflavik, Iceland. Just a clouded memory guess though!

I think it is a U.S. Navy patch. I couldn't find much history or anything on the unit. I'm almost possitive it is WWII era.

This is a patch that has floated around for years as an unknown.

It is a 50's-60's construction.

At one point I saw a pile of these still wrapped in the original string bundle.
